Katya Murysina is an artist and illustrator who lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Her primary mediums are oils, charcoal, and pencils. With it, she creates a foggy world based on memories of events that never occurred.
She was born in 1990 in Leningrad, USSR (now Saint Petersburg, Russia). Beginning with design, she initially worked with art objects and installations. However, the constraints of the real world left her feeling restricted, prompting a shift towards illustration, drawing, and painting. Katya primarily works with oils, charcoal, and pencils.
Alongside her painting and drawings, she enjoys to work on creating endless patterns. She employs graphic symbols to combine them into an emotionally abstract narrative that conveys feelings without necessarily emphasizing a plot.
